Designed for performance

The Chartwell SOV is designed for the highest performance while being more efficient in size. Thanks to this focus, the workability is equivalent to what can be expected from a typical SOV while offering a vessel with considerably lower CAPEX and OPEX.

Its unique design is a testimony to dialogue with vessel owners, offshore brokers, technical suppliers, and wind farm operators, to meet the high demands in the offshore renewable industry.

Key characteristics of the Chartwell SOV:

  • Small waterplane area but large superstructure optimising workability characteristics
  • Gangway landing heights ranging from 14—22m above waterline.
  • Designed with Methanol—Diesel Dual-Fuel engines for emission reduction
  • Optimized energy production and usage with 1,000 kWh of battery capacity

Unique Characteristics

  • Small waterplane area but large superstructure optimizing workability characteristics.
  • Gangway landing heights ranging from 14—22m above waterline.
  • Designed with Methanol-Diesel dual-fuel engines for emission reduction.
  • Optimizing energy production and usage with 1,000 kWh of Energy Storage capacity.
  • Full visibility from bridge during walk-to-work operations.
  • 150 sq.m covered warehouse in direct contact with gangway through internal elevator.
  • Shallow draft to allow access to operational bases in smaller ports.

The Chartwell SOV has 36 comfortable single bunk cabins for SPS crew, plus 18 crew cabins.  It also incorporates large onboard crewing facilities including gym, auditorium, meeting rooms and spacious day rooms, as well as large changing rooms for crew and technicians.
